Yay! Daddy took time out from his busy schedule of spying on the neighbors (he says they're running a "meh flab" in their basement, whatever that is) to help me upload some more pictures! This batch is using an all new technomanology, namely, Daddy grew tired of editing and uploading pictures and having to store them on his server so he's just hotlinking to shutterfly. This has the additional benefit of allowing you to just click over there to order any pictures you might want to have. They're pretty cheap, apparently. Anyway, HERE IS WHERE IT IS AT!

I appear to be working on my golf swing. Luckily, Mr. Brian is helping me, as opposed to Daddy; Daddy golfs like Ben Hogan. Which would be pretty good if Ben Hogan wasn't dead.

Daddy and I went to the Big Park (which he called the Flower Market) with the Smith clan. I was a little trepidatious about this ride, 'cause not only did it go round and round, it went UP AND DOWN. Daddy rode with me, but he wasn't much of a comfort once it got moving because of his shrieks of terror and hot, copious tears.

This ride didn't go up and down, but it was very bumpy.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I haven't posted in like 3 months. That is A QUARTER OF A YEAR, during which a lot has happened: I can walk like a champ, I eat approximately an entire horse every day, and I can say the following words (this list is not inclusive):

And some others. I also know what the horse, cow, dog, cat, sheep, and dinosaur all say.

It's been a while 'cause we at Team Hearn are so UNBELIEVABLY busy what with chasing me around to prevent me from bashing my enormous head into things. At least that's what Daddy says. Anyway, he finally found time to help me upload some more pictures, so here they are.

So far, I've taken to walking in short bursts; if I have to get anywhere fast, I find it's best to crawl. I can say things like "Kitty" and "Clock," and, occasionally, "Dirt." Yay!

Happy birthday to ME!!!! I'm a year old, a year smarter, and a year heavier, according to Daddy, who keeps saying that he's developing something called "guns" from carrying me around all the time. I know it hasn't been my usual 6 weeks between posts, but I've got so much awesome stuff to share!

Uncle Kyle and Aunt Kristy came to visit!

I was very excited.

For Easter we went out to Aunt Nanette's and Uncle Michael's farm in Lancaster, where I got to be tickled by my Oma:

I also go to chase Cody around. He, um, didn't stick around much.

And my OTHER Uncle Michael got to load me up with tasty beverage.

After a while I got sleepy, so while I took a quick beauty nap, my cousin Nathaniel took over the task of entertaining the adults.

Then Nathaniel took off his pants. Yeah, I dunno. That boy's crazy.

Then we did a little exploring outside...

And met a new friend! I call him Lunch.

I had a doctor's appointment today:

The doctors and nurses are all very nice. They made me smile a lot! I weigh 21 pounds, 13 ounces, or something around there; my wiggling made it difficult to get an accurate measurement, but it wasn't my fault, since they wouldn't let me play with the scale. I'm 30.75 inches long, which I'm told is the length of the average 14-month-old. Hopefully I can develop a wicked skyhook.

I had to get a bunch of shots, which hurt, but not so badly that I didn't giggle as soon as Daddy picked me back up. I like manipulating adults!

Update so far: I have teeth! Three of them at the moment. Mommy and Daddy have started feeding me some yummy vegetables; I'm fond of sweet potatoes, but carrots get a big NAY NAY from me.

In the meantime, I'm five months old today. I had a doctor's appointment a few weeks ago at which I weighed 20 pounds and was 27 inches long, and just this weekend a little tooth started poking through my lower gum. It feels pointy! I like to use it to gnaw on my toys.

Worry not! I had to disappear for a while. Let's say it was for, uh, tax reasons. Yeah, that's the ticket. Meanwhile, I've taken a trip to Texas to meet my Southern relatives, and I've ballooned to 26 inches and almost 19 pounds! This might be a record, even for Hearnspawn.

The better news is that Mommy and Daddy have finally figured out most my needs, which leads to me being happier, which leads to big smiles! (I should be honest, though, Daddy still does try to put the diaper on my head occasionally. I'm not sure that he's any more mature than I am. Luckily, Mommy is not averse to hitting him when he misbehaves.) This picture's from about a month ago right before ~~daddy went to prison~~ er, we went on vacation for a while.

Here, The Cheat and I discover one another. I thought she looked very edible; she probably thought the same thing about me.

On the plane to Texas! I was such a good boy. I almost peed on a surly passenger!

This is a shot of Mommy and me in front of the statue dedicated to the cowboys of Mason County. One of my ancestors is mentioned on a plaque on the other side!

Man, do I like nappin' with Grandma.

And eating watermelon! I just had a little bit of the juice, but it was seriously lip-smackin'.

Despite my apprehensive expression, I was actually very glad to meet Aunt Joan.

We had a great time in Texas, and I'm ready to go back!!! Assuming Mommy is ready to board a plane with me again.
